Poster Guidelines

EXTENDED ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Complete all sections in the form portal, including name and contact information. This data is required so INCOST 2023 can contact you regarding your poster and your participation in INCOST 2023. Extended abstract must conform to the submission format outlined, otherwise it will not be reviewed or accepted for INCOST 2023. The format of the extended abstract is here.

Your poster should include following points:

  1. Title
    Include your research title
  2. Author list
    Include the author list with the affiliation and the email of corresponding author
  3. Background or motivation to your research
    Include content about your hypothesis, challenges set, fundamental information about your research and strategies used
  4. Methods or techniques
    Include supportive materials such as theoritical research, data, diagrams, or devices used
  5. Results and discussion
    Include your results in form figure or graph and the hypothesis findings
  6. Conclusion
    Include your findings summary and proposals moving forward
  7. References
    Include the references used in poster
  8. Acknowledgement (if necessary)

In preparing your poster, please follow these formatting rules:

  1. Poster boards should accommodate A1 size portrait posters: height 841 mm (33.11 inches), width 594 mm (23.39 inches). Please ensure that your display will fit within these parameters
  2. Poster made in portrait orientation
  3. The title and headings should be in bold
  4. Ensure that the image is 841 x 1189 mm at 150 dpi (dots per inch) or 300 ppi (pixels per inch)
  5. Text in poster should readable from a distance 1 – 2 metres, with line spacing of 1.5 or 2. Below are suggested font sizes for your poster:
    • Title (78 pt)
    • Author (72 pt)
    • Affiliations and email (48 pt)
    • Heading 36 pt
    • Body of text (24 pt)
    • Smaller fonts may be used in citations and acknowledgementEnsure that the image is 841 x 1189 mm at 150 dpi (dots per inch) or 300 ppi (pixels per inch)

Poster Session

  1. All participants must prepare their posters and submit a print-out to the committee during conference registration
  2. Push pins for attaching the poster to the board will be provided
  3. Poster presenters will be directed to the designated board at the start of the poster session
  4. Author must be present to provide details and answer questions during the selected poster session times
